For my teacher friends who are torn about going back to school physically, or teaching using a hybrid model, these times are challenging. If you are someone who HAS to go into your classroom, you are literally risking your life and possibly those around you. You probably stay up many nights tossing and turning over what you should do. While those of you who teach through distance learning have to acquire new skills, and let’s face it, not all of us are tech savvy. It’s hard enough doing what you all love to do but Covid19 is making it difficult if not impossible for you. So how do you function when feeling emotionally drained and stressed out. In some of my other posts, I’ve mentioned Qigong as a way to relieve stress, there are also homeopathic remedies that may help. I’m not in any way suggesting that you drug yourself up, but alternative medicine might give you some anxiety relief.
The beauty of alternative medicine, particularly homeopathic remedies is that they have absolutely no side effects. They are even safe for children. The medicine comes in the form of tiny pellets that you put under your tongue (sublingual) and allow to dissolve. You should not eat or drink anything with a strong flavor for at least 15-20 minutes before and after you have ingested the medicine. Also be sure, upon opening the bottle that there are no strong odors in the room, and recap it as soon as you take your pellet. Do not touch the pellet. It is recommended that coffee and products containing camphor or related substances be avoided during the period of homeopathic treatment and for 48 hours after the last dosage. Homeopathic medicines can retain their strength for a long period of time, almost indefinitely when stored and handled properly. Potency can be lost if treated incorrectly.
Please observe these guidelines for storage, handling and proper care.
- Keep the medicine from intense light, or exposure to sunlight.
- High temperatures above 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Strong smelling substances such as moth balls, perfume, camphor.
- Always keep medicine in the original container.
- Be careful not to contaminate the bottle cap.
- If medicine becomes contaminated, replace it.
My remedy of choice Kali Phosphoricum.
This homeopathic cure is a naturally occurring nutrient found in fluids and tissues of our nerve and brain cells. Formed by combining potassium with phosphoric acid, it becomes a salt that helps to support and fortify the central nervous system. Kali Phosphoricum is a very effective remedy for depression, as well as mental and physical stress. The personality type most likely to feel relief by using this type of treatment is a workaholic, who is easily overwhelmed and stressed, has trouble sleeping, is filled with anxiety, and experiences nightmares, headaches and forgetfulness. This type of individual is very much affected by cold, and is apt to feel worse in cold air.
