◈ IT’S HALLOWEEN and your 6-8 grade students are filled with happy anticipation. They love candy, but most of them love to be scared even more. What better way is there than to have them write their own creepy poems. You can let their imaginations run wild with this Halloween Sensory Poetry Flip Book for Boo-tober.
This interactive notebook resource has your kids use their five senses to write creative and unique free verse poems with the Halloween theme. I
Just think about how much fun it will be to turn the lights low, play some spooky music and read their poems to the class.
Imagine how nice it’ll be to concentrate more on teaching and less on planning!

For me, as a teacher, Halloween is especially a fun time to have the kids share their scary poems, and they LOOOOVE doing this. Just darken the room, light a candle, play spooky music and enjoy the activity. It’s so fulfilling to see how well the children do with this lesson and to know that they are actually learning something without even realizing it.
